A delegation from the Civil Society Platform on Ghana’s IMF Programme led by the Dr. Joe Abbey, Executive Director of the Centre for Policy Analysis, engaged the Vice President of Ghana, His Excellency Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia at the Flagstaff House-Accra on Thursday August 29, 2017.

The hour and half discussions centered on the country’s current programme with the Fund and presentation of the outcome of the Platform’s Fourth National Civil Society Forum on the IMF Programme held last month.

Dr. Bawumia appreciated the feedback received from the civil society platform and noted the recommendations would reinforce the government’s resolve to deal with the challenges that confront the Ghanaian economy. Present at the meeting were, Dr. Joe Amoako-Tuffour, Secretary to the Economic Management Team, Godson Aloryito-Platform’s Coordinator, Benjamin Boakye-ACEP, Beauty E. Narteh-GACC, Abdulkarim Mohammed-Oxfam, Nicholas De-Heer-IFS.
